Children's Health

Children are often offered foods that are labeled “kid-friendly” – chicken nuggets, mac ‘n cheese, french fries.

It is unclear to me why children have been relegated to the most nutritionally poor menu items at restaurants. It is clear that children will thrive on a nutritionally superior diet, if not at least as high quality as an adult’s diet.

Children develop food preferences early in life and often resist change from what they are accustomed to. Parents may not realize they are unintentionally setting their child up for chronic health conditions in adulthood (or worse, sooner) when their child consumes nutritionally inferior foods.

Don’t despair, I am here to help you guide your child to better food choices. It may take some time, but it is never too late to start!
